Course Syllabus

  • Course Introduction

This unit provides an introduction to the Intermediate Microsoft Word course, outlining the course structure and how the rest of the units cover the course content.

  • Illustrations

We begin the course with a look at illustrations, including SmartArt, charts and the screenshot function. This unit also provides demonstrations for how to insert and edit these in Word, as well as the advantages of using these illustrations.

  • Links, Symbols & Comments

Now it is time to look at links, symbols and comments. By the end of this unit, you will have a good understanding of how to insert these into a document, the track changes feature, and the advantages of adding links and comments.

  • Language & Styles

We will look at the dictionary, thesaurus and translation features, how to set the proofing language of a document, as well as text and document styles.

  • References & Document Editing

We are now on the final unit of this Intermediate Microsoft Word course. We'll learn about footnotes, tables of contents, sources and bibliographies, as well as how to restrict editing options on a document.
