Overview

Expand your knowledge of Microsoft products with our introductory course to Microsoft PowerPoint. Learn how to get started when using one of the most common presentation software programmes used today.

The course is split into bite-sized units, which contain narrated slides and demonstration videos to take you through the content in a simple manner.

Candidates will undertake an online multiple-choice assessment and will receive a certificate if successful (any certificates from an official awarding body are sent to you via email).

Course Syllabus

  • Course Introduction

In the course introduction, we will provide some guidance on how the e-learning works and cover the structure of the course.

  • Getting Started with PowerPoint

This unit eases you in to using Microsoft PowerPoint. Here, you will learn how to create a new presentation, save your work and open it again. We will then show you the Ribbon, File and Home tabs.

  • Creating a Presentation

Now we'll begin to get into the details of this course. We'll show you how to type into and resize a textbox, explain what we mean by fonts, and demonstrate how to add elements to your slides, such as shapes, as well as arrange them.

  • Slides and Transitions

Now it's time to look at adding and deleting slides in your presentation, as well as what transitions are in PowerPoint and how to add them.

  • Presenting and Printing Presentations

In this last unit, we examine how to present presentations using the Slide Show function, as well as how to print presentations.
