Overview

The Introduction to Project Management course provides foundational knowledge of project manager responsibilities. From project management methodologies, to planning and executing a project, you’ll be equipped with the information and skills you need to lead a project to a successful conclusion.


The course provides an insight into project management in bite-sized modules.

Candidates will undertake an online multiple-choice assessment and will receive a certificate if successful (any certificates from an official awarding body are sent to you via email).

  • Couse Introduction

    This unit provides an introduction to the Introduction to Project Management course, outlining the course structure and how the rest of the units cover the course content.


  • The Basics of Project Management

    We begin the course with a look at the basics of project management, including key terms used in project management. This unit also provides an overview of the project lifecycle and project management methodologies.


  • Project Initiation and Planning

    Now it is time to look at the initiation and planning phases of a project. By the end of this unit, you will have a good understanding of the importance of defining the "what" and "why" of a project, and the importance of having a project plan so you'll be well equipped for the rest of the course and beyond.


  • Project Schedule and Review

    We will look at how you can order tasks and set milestones within a project, as well as how to estimate costs and conduct a project review.


  • Project Execution and Closure

    We are now on the final unit of this Introduction to Project Management course. We'll explore how to execute and close down a project, as well as how to identify and manage issues, risk and change.
